…Knitting…
Jeff made me some beautiful buttons for that cabled headband I knit. Since the cabled design in the headband pattern made me think of a celtic knot, I asked Jeff to make me some buttons with celtic knots on them. The ones he made have a love knot in the center, surrounded by another celtic knot. The love knot is the symbol for eternal love, with four interwoven hearts, one facing in each direction. Jeff got a custom order many years ago with a request to use that symbol and he’s continued to use it in his artwork ever since. He made these buttons in yew wood. I like the warmth of the wood with the grey yarn and the design also really pops in that wood. I just started sewing on the buttons this morning. I’ll share more pictures with you soon. It’s been so hot here, it’s hard to imagine when I’ll wear my warm wooly headband, but I know I’ll appreciate it when the time comes. (Oh, and for reading? I’m skipping that this week.)
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
