{Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Waiting for the sunflower to open (Bracken checked it every day) and then enjoying our very first sunflower of the year in bloom in the garden, along the front of the greenhouse.
.
…More home days in a row than we have had in awhile, which was so great for all of us.
.
…Jeff and Bracken sharing some vegetables from the garden with the kind woman who delivered a package to our house. (And since I was processing zucchini, I thanked her for taking some!)
.
…Trying new things. Because you never know until you try.
.
…Morning garden harvests. My favorite way to start the day, by being in the garden.
.
…Lots of progress in the kitchen. Baking, preserving what we bring in from the garden, and making lunches to last us a few days.
.
…Bringing my laundry to fold and cucumbers to slice out to the garden so Bracken could play out there while I got my tasks done. (So much more fun to do it out in the sunshine!)
.
…Bracken making me laugh when he told me my pillowcase looked just like a sleeping bag and that it would probably be the perfect size sleeping bag for him.
.
…Watering the lower garden and seeing another round of raspberries coming on!
.
…How much cooler it was going on a walk underneath the trees on a hot day.
.
…The look on Bracken’s face (and how big his eyes got) when the woman we met in line at the store told him that there are people in the world who eat snails. His expression was hilarious.
.
…For all that Jeff does for us each and every day. I appreciate him more than I remember to tell him.

Beautiful list! I love sunflowers, but our season is a lot further along than yours so all the sunflowers are drooping.
It’s nice to have someone to share the gardens bounty with, especially squash.
I need to tell my Mike I appreciate him all he does for us too, I don’t do it enough.
Have a great, great week.
