…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
I’ve made so much progress on my Abalone because of the fact that it was straight stockinette for so long. (If I had projects like that all the time, I could be making some serious knitting progress!) I just seamed the shoulders. For some reason, I really enjoy doing the kitchener stitch. Then it was time to pick up the stitches for the sleeves and I don’t enjoy picking up stitches at all. Now I’m working on the sleeves. It’s very interesting to see how the construction comes together to form something wearable. (By the way: I finished the knitted bear for my mom’s birthday, which is today, and plan to share pictures of it soon.)
As for reading, I’m now far enough into ‘Breakfast with Buddha’ to be able to say that I like it. At first I enjoyed the fact that it was a light, easy read and the short chapters made me feel like I was actually making progress reading amidst my busy life where I don’t get much reading time. Now I’m enjoying the fact that it makes me laugh and smile often, it’s a great story with good food for thought, and it has endearing characters.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
P.S. Thank you for your kind comments in the previous post!

love the photo. I remember really liking that book. I think it might be part of a series that I always thought I’d read—-and never did. Thanks for reminding me.
