Today is the first day I am able to leave the house this week (Yay! I’m not contagious anymore!) and I’m feeling better just in the nick of time because today is the day for us to set up our booth for the Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival in Canby, Oregon. This will be our first time attending this festival and we’re really excited to go. We will be there on Saturday from 9 to 5 and on Sunday from 9 to 4. Will you be there? If so, please come and say hello!
Jeff has been making so much stuff and when I joked that my life for the past week has revolved around tying buttons on cards… I was only partially joking, I’ve been tying a lot of buttons on cards. We’ve never had so many buttons before, this is definitely a new record for us. (And whatever doesn’t sell at the festival, I will be busy photographing for the shop when we get home. That gorgeous shawl pin above is new in the shop this week.) In addition to buttons, we’ll also have shawl pins, fun fiber-related (yarn! goats! alpacas! spinning wheels! sheep! etc.) jewelry and magnets, as well as animal crossing signs.
Well, I finally joined the world of Instagram. (You can find us here.) Awhile ago, someone tried to tag us on there, realized we didn’t have a page, and then spoke to me about why it would be a good idea. I had no idea, it takes me awhile to get aboard sometimes with the newest internet “thing.” My sister was the one who got me to join Facebook and then later Pinterest. Instagram wasn’t so easy for me to get started, though, because I couldn’t do it on my computer. When we were in Colorado, my friend’s husband got it downloaded on our phone (I couldn’t figure out how to do that) and though I admittedly don’t fully understand how it all works and am still getting the hang of it, I’ve posted a few times on Instagram from our phone since then. (Thanks to the phone my dad and stepmom passed along to us, which makes that possible.)
What makes me excited about Instagram, is that it’s another way for you to share your projects with WoolyMossRoots buttons & shawl pins! (You can also share them on our Ravelry group and on our Facebook page.) This space will be quiet for the next few days, but I plan on updated on Instagram during the festival. I’ll be back on Monday for a belated Gratitude Sunday post. Have a great weekend, friends! Now off we go to fiber land!

What a treat to meet you too, Taryn! (Wow, that felt so funny saying that, for a moment there I felt like I was talking to myself. hehe) 🙂 I’m so glad the garden gnome found a special spot. 🙂 Now when I pop over to your blog it will have a whole new meaning because we’ve met in person, I love that.
