Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bees in zinnias.
.
…Deep sleep. What a great feeling that is.
.
…More rain than we’ve gotten in a long while.
.
…Getting some more strawberries in the freezer for smoothies this winter, and lots of green beans frozen too.
.
…Bare feet in the grass after a rain.
.
…Productive home days where Jeff and I were both happy with how much we’d gotten done.
.
…Bracken holding a book and turning the pages, while I read to him and knitted.
.
…My dad and stepmom finding out that their well wasn’t dry after all, that they just needed a valve replaced. I was so happy for them.
.
…A friend sharing plums with us from the tree in their backyard, that was completely loaded. What a treat it was to eat those all week.
.
…Our friend’s little one being safe after an electrical line fell in their yard near where she was playing the other week. I didn’t know the seriousness of the situation until I heard the story first hand and I am so grateful that sweet girl is alright.
.
…Listening to Cat Stevens, singing along, and baking cupcakes.
.
…Homemade soup on a rainy day.
.
…The way Jeff makes the collards from our garden taste so good every time he prepares them.
.
…Spontaneous conversations at the grocery store. Sweet, unexpected interactions that were a bright point in my day.
.
…The most gorgeous weather at market yesterday.
