{Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Surprises in the mail.
.
…That only a little bit of breakfast got burned that morning when the burner decided to be blazing hot when we had it on low. (Stove, hang in there awhile longer, will ya?)
.
…Jeff planting a passionflower next to Bracken’s slide so it can grow up the wood posts that go over it. I think it will be so pretty to have flowers there.
.
…The unexpected feeling of community at the laundromat the other day because I slowed down and chatted, rather than the -get in and out as quickly as possible-, which I normally do.
.
…The opportunity to give and share.
.
…The fact that the search at Habitat for Humanity was successful for the part we needed to build our new magnet display.
.
…Meeting people from other parts of the world. It always expands mine.
.
…The other ways in which we communicate, beyond language.
.
…How much changing my perspective on something can change my experience entirely, and turn it into a blessing rather than an inconvenience in my day.
.
…The delicious tea that Jeff made with ginger and elderberry.
.
…All the good people I consider myself lucky to know.
.
…The visitors who came to join us at market yesterday, on such a beautiful, warm and sunny fall day. What a great time. (More on that this week.)

Thank you for sharing the inside of your home. I have wondered so much what it looks like.
I was a stay at home mama for 14+ years. Now I work and I miss my outside time. I live in Florida and just recently moved to a different house to take care of my parents that are getting old.
My honey and I go outside in the afternoon and have a glass of wine. We cannot wait until next year to plant us a garden.

My stove has been doing the same thing; it’s now 20 years old and it’s electric, I want a gas stove, but I need this one to hang in there too for a little while longer. Stoves were a little more pricey than I thought, sigh.
