…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
That surprise project I was working on last week was this little bee bracelet for my friend for her birthday. I had plans of what I wanted to knit for her, but ran out of time and ended up knitting this very simple project instead. Being a beekeeper, this bracelet is perfect for her. The pattern is the Rustic I-Cord Wrap Bracelet by Liz Murphy. The yarn is from our friends at Timberwolf Farm and that gorgeous yellow color came from marigolds they dyed it with. Jeff made the bee button in Oregon cascara wood and in person the wood glowed yellow and was just beautiful.
As for reading, I have two magazines I’ve been really wanting to read and wondered when I would get a chance to read them when I realized that I’ll be on an airplane very soon. It’s the perfect opportunity for me to read some magazines, I’ve got them packed in my bag, and I’m really looking forward to it. More on our upcoming trip tomorrow!
How about you? Knitting? Reading?
I love every part of this, especially the button, I bet your friend loved it.
Lovely gift!
So beautiful!
I love how you know where every part of this bracelet came from before you even began putting it together. Such a nice gift.
It is so pretty, what a lovely handmade gift. x
I love this! I think I may make this for my daughter for solstice! She is a beekeeper and loves her bees. Do you sell these bee buttons? I need to go look!
Yes, we do! And it looks like you already purchased some in the shop, thanks so much! 🙂
I did! I ran right over 😀 Thank you! Can’t wait to get them
