Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Mint flowers all covered in bees.
.
…Jeff starting fires to take the chill off the house, now that it’s gotten colder. It feels so warm and cozy on the mornings when he does that.
.
…How excited Bracken gets every time he receives something in the mail from his pen pal.
.
…Smoothies with avocado. I think it makes them so creamy and delicious.
.
…How great frittatas are for meals-on-the-go.
.
…The kind doctor and nurse at the emergency room, which made such a difference for the entire experience.
.
…The good news that Jeff didn’t need surgery when we were fully expecting that he would.
.
…Bracken going around the waiting room at the eye center, showing his pictures and then asking people to color with him, and watching how much he brightened the atmosphere. (Children have such a magical way of bringing people out of their shells and getting them to connect, don’t they?)
.
…Jeff making the best chicken soup ever. (I say that each time he makes a delicious chicken soup, but this one really was incredibly good.)
.
…Surprising a friend and visiting her at work.
.
…The sweet things that Bracken does to make up for the times when he is a little stinker. 🙂
.
…That my mom’s boyfriend’s surgery went well. And that they caught something during a routine check up that could have been very dangerous if left untreated.
.
…Saying goodbye to the laundromat and washing our clothes at home again. It was a happy goodbye.
.
…Meals full of colorful vegetables. I love it when meals are delicious, beautiful, and filled with color.
.
…Relaxing a little more and stressing a little less. With getting sick or having an incredibly busy schedule, there’s been a letting go of sorts, knowing there is only so much I can get done.
.
…Trades with friends and how grateful we feel to know so many creative people, from doing the market for so long.
.
…Such a beautiful October day at market yesterday.

Twisted Cinderella says
I hope your trip to the emergency room wasn’t for anything too serious. I understand being without a washer, I was a laundromat goer until a couple of months ago. I still experience a little thrill when I laundry at my house.
