Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Finding these pictures from our summer garden with the bees in the squash flowers. I do so love watching the bees at work.
.
…The hilarious things kids say. My favorite of Bracken’s this week was: “When I retire, I’m going to eat honey all day long.”
.
…Jeff’s eye appointment going well and his vision being much better than it was in that one eye.
.
…The deep sighs that come from good, long talks with loved ones. Those are the best.
.
…The new way Jeff prepared salmon- making it into a salmon salad with pickles, celery, avocado, and mayo. It was quite a hit around here.
.
…Bracken’s butterfly dance before bed, singing he was a butterfly dancing on a flower.
.
…The whole house smelling like winter squash baking in the oven.
.
…Jeff’s daughter giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. We’re so happy for their sweet family and Jeff is now a grandpa.
.
…Seeing the silhouette of an owl at the top of a tree, with the sunset behind it, as we drove home. It was such a beautiful sight, no description could do it justice.
.
…Bracken helping Jeff rake leaves and enjoying more wheelbarrow rides in the leaves. Then being so proud to show me what he had raked all by himself.
.
…The pure joy that children can exude.
.
…Our water working again. (More on that soon.) Our car working again. (More on that soon.)

I’m so very grateful for a loving husband/partner/friend these last 45 yrs. I’m grateful to be able to wake every morning to a fresh new day. I’m so very grateful to know there are so many folks on this earth that feel & see the world the way I do.
