Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Still having a few fresh greens in the garden, though I mostly forget to harvest any. Some fresh parsley to nibble on when we walk past it is always a nice treat.
.
…Bracken and I’s reading time together when we curl up with a few books. We both enjoy it so much, it’s a rare pause amidst all the daily activity, and it’s one of our most peaceful times of the day.
.
…How beautiful the brilliantly clear skies full of stars are on cold nights.
.
…Tea with freshly grated ginger. So simple and one of my favorites.
.
…Getting unstuck in my knitting (by taking the time to watch a video or two to learn a new technique) so I can continue making progress again. It’s a disappointment to sit and grab for your knitting only to have all your projects stuck, and such a joy when they’re flowing again!
.
…Following inspirations when they come. And appreciating the fresh ideas. Especially when it’s been right there in front of you the whole time.
.
…Singing Happy Birthday to my dad over the phone and having him wait to open his gift from us until he had us on the phone. That was fun and made it feel a bit like we were there celebrating with him.
.
…Waking up from dreams that are so unrealistic, but so incredibly fun to imagine at the same time.
.
…An epsom salt bath that eased my sore back when I twisted it wrong in my sleep somehow. I love epsom salt baths for many reasons, easing sore muscles is yet another one.
.
…Jeff getting new windshield wipers on our car and what a difference it made.
.
…Bracken and I feeling better after the tummy bug we were down with last week.
