Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bracken and I picking little sprigs of rosemary in the garden to hold under our noses and smell during our walk. Isn’t the smell of rosemary simply wonderful?
.
…Making an experimental seaweed soup only to have all of us love it. Kitchen experiments don’t always go that way, so I was pleased, and it was a great discovery.
.
…Starting an earlier bedtime routine.
.
…Bracken telling everybody about our upcoming trips and counting down the days with excitement.
.
…Getting to our favorite smoothie spot right before they closed. I had promised a smoothie on our town day and was glad I could keep my promise.
.
…Finding paleo wraps at the grocery store! I was super happy about that because now I don’t have to order them online and pay for shipping. They’re spendy, but great for the occasional wrap.
.
…How creative Jeff is with leftovers. He knows how to make them interesting and feel like something new altogether, so nothing goes to waste.
.
…Bracken’s haircut. I love being able to see his face better again! He had told me he wanted to grow it out (all the way down to the floor), but having it starting to get in his eyes was no fun.
.
…My mom making me laugh so hard on the phone that my belly ached. It was so therapeutic at the end of that day!
.
…Knowing that knitting mistakes are good learning opportunities. And I do a lot of learning when it comes to my knitting.

Knitting mistakes, yes, I know ALL about those. I think that you have to just consider ripping out mistakes as an integral part of the knitting bundle. Doesn’t happen all the time but sometimes it’s just part and parcel of the whole deal.
