Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Jeff taking spore prints and identifying mushrooms we find around our yard for curiosity’s sake. Bracken loves seeing the prints they make.
.
…A reader saying that Gratitude Sunday has become an important part of their Sundays. I feel honored that it has.
.
…Going through all the potential festivals for the year and narrowing it down to the ones we definitely want to do. Now we can get all the rest of our applications sent out and move forward with that.
.
…The extra lights that Jeff put up around the house really helping on dark, rainy days.
.
…Turning bananas into popsicles as my quick solution (and backup plan) when I don’t have time to bake them in muffins.
.
…Bracken and I sitting side by side and coloring together. We need to do that more often!
.
…Clear skies for long enough to get some pictures of new items to post in the shop. And I finished the last picture just in time, before it started raining again.
.
…Finding good homes with friends for things we don’t use anymore. Most of our downsizing has resulted in boxes for the thrift store, but if I see something a friend might like I set it aside, and I love when something we no longer use is a treasure for someone else.
.
…Mopping the kitchen floor and the bathroom floor. So much better!
.
…Getting more eggs from our chickens. We’ve been buying some from a nearby farm the past few months, but now we’re getting enough from our gals to not have to buy any and we’re pretty happy about that.
.
…Cleaning out our car and vacuuming it. I swear it hadn’t been that long since I had last vacuumed it out, but it was crazy how stuff had accumulated. Bracken was so proud that he opened the door to show our friends how cleaned up our car was. Ha!
.
…Going for a walk when I started feeling tired and my energy was fading. I felt so much more awake and energetic afterwards.
.
…Taking the time to mend a doll that Bracken loves to play with. He was so happy.
