I cast on a last minute knitting project, for a gift. I’m knitting this pattern, for the second time, and am modifying it to be a bit bigger. Jeff surprised me for Christmas with some of this beautiful blue, handspun yarn from our friends at Timberwolf Farm. I just balled up (totally incorrect knitting terminology) the grey skein (also from Timberwolf Farm), and the hat will have grey & blue stripes.
My stepsister asked me for Christmas ideas this year and I put this cookbook on our wishlist. It’s January and we are all craving some freshness and variety in our food routine around here, so I’m very grateful she sent it because it’s just the thing for some good inspiration right now. (Oh, and I finished reading Brain Maker. I took notes in certain parts and my mom just ordered it because I recommended it so highly to her.)
How about you? Knitting? Reading?

Loving that blue! It just looks so full!
Oh I LOVE the blue!! It is gorgeous! We always need lots of greens and other veggies once January comes around too!
Gorgeous yarn colours. I’m intrigued by the cook book, sounds like my kind of thing.
We’ve definitely been eating more veggies these days to detox after all of the sweets from the holidays. I wish my library had that cookbook. Sounds like a good one.
If they don’t have it, you can request it and they might get it for you. Our library does that for us a lot!
The blue and grey color combination will make a beautiful hat.
I have five knitted things in progress right now. Please tell me to stop thinking about starting more and finish at least one of them.
I love all the pretty color variations in that blue yarn! what a sweet hat it will make. I’m 90% done with my first cowl and have yarn ordered for my very first cardigan/sweater! eek.
