Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The first daffodils blooming in our yard.
.
…The way coming back from vacation can make you feel so much more relaxed, lightened up, and refreshed. Even when there’s lots of catching up to do, you have more energy to do it all.
.
…Teamwork, and how much easier some projects were when Jeff and I did them together rather than try to tackle them on our own.
.
…Bracken and I snacking on apple slices and nut butter while we had some quiet time together reading books.
.
…Suitcases unpacked, laundry caught up (almost), and things put back to sorts.
.
…Jeff being like a kid in a candy store while walking around a new wood store and admiring all the beautiful woods. (I enjoyed it too, he passed that love onto me.)
.
…A customer paying me to knit some projects for her. Getting paid to knit = Awesome!
.
…Bracken drawing pictures of all the things we did in Florida and constructing his own mermaid show in our living room out of cardboard boxes. (I’m also still laughing about when he told Grandma Julie that she really needed to patch up the holes in the knees of her jeans, not knowing that she purposely bought them that way.)
.
…The fact that copious amounts of coconut oil removed the modelling beeswax that Bracken had mushed into his hair. As a parent you learn so many things you never expected to.
.
…Driving a new way to places we normally go, to see different views and break up routines.
.
…Following the call to be outside when the weather was just too nice to be indoors and we needed a break from our work anyway.
.
…Driving in Oregon again, where I feel much safer on the road. (I was glad my mom was the one driving in Florida because the drivers were crazy there!)
.
…Homemade chicken soup with veggies of every kind.
