We had the pleasure of seeing the Urban Lumber Company‘s new location in Springfield, Oregon the other day. I oohed and ahhed over all the gorgeous furniture. Jeff loved all the beautiful wood. Sheri gave us a tour and we got a behind the scenes look at how their furniture is made. We’re grateful she took the time to show us around, we really enjoyed it.
From their site: “Urban Lumber Co. specializes in salvaging dead, hazardous, and storm damaged local trees. With onsite sawmills, kiln, millwork shop, and retail store, we can turn a tree into a finished product. Urban Lumber means we do it all; we down the tree, we mill the lumber, we build the table. We have been building custom pieces of furniture for residential and corporate environments from salvaged city trees since 2006.”
Walking around, I immediately thought of our friends who had some trees come down in a storm this winter. I wonder if they knew about this place? They could have had the trees removed and received some beautiful furniture to boot! I wanted to share about this awesome company and also let you know that you can now find our wooden earrings at their Healdsburg Furniture Showroom in Healdsburg, California. (Yay!) They have been selling our earrings for awhile, but now they’ll be available at their California location. We love working together with companies like this!

We have a local store, similar to this. We LOVE walking through the warehouse, and letting all those different types of wood, entice our senses. There is something about being surrounded by so much raw beauty! Every piece is a individual. I love it! Thanks for sharing!
