…Knitting & Reading…

Years ago a nice lady bought one of my handknits at a festival where we had a booth. (I first knit it thinking it would be a great children’s cowl, but it fit her perfectly as a headband and looked adorable on her.) She requested more, so I am busy knitting away. The beautiful yarn is Titan by Luna Grey Fiber Arts. I love Jackie’s thick-and-thin Titan yarn and this custom colorway she created.

When Bracken and I went on a dog sled ride with my dad in January, we were chatting with the guy driving and he highly recommended the book Winterdance: The Fine Madness of Running the Iditarod by Gary Pauling. He spoke so highly of it that I wrote it down and checked our library for it. I can completely understand why he gave this book such a good review! It pulls you in right from the start and Gary Pauling is an absolutely amazing writer. Only a few chapters in, I already told my dad he must read it.
