Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Sweet little hyacinths that pop up near the pond every spring. They look like fairy bells, don’t they?
.
…Running into a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile and getting to chat and catch up.
.
…Following my inspiration to change things up.
.
…Getting all the information from my old planner transferred to my new planner. (I like to do that in January, but this year it was April and I’m just happy to finally have that done!)
.
…Coming home to the best chicken soup Jeff made, with kale from our garden.
.
…Bracken having unstructured time to just play. Schedules can get busy and that time is so important.
.
…My sister’s best friend having her baby girl! Their picture made my heart glow.
.
…Bracken making birthday presents for us all year round. He often asks “When is your birthday again? Here is an early birthday present!” and hands us his latest artwork. We’re so lucky.
.
…A batch of new button cards and getting busy getting caught up tying all the buttons on cards for the shop. (And getting a button sewn on Jeff’s shirt so he could start wearing it.)
.
…Jeff buying himself a brand new pillow. His pillow before was so flat he said it could hardly qualify as a pillow at all. His new one is “like a cloud” and brings him a huge smile at bedtime.
.
…A few minutes of sitting in the yard with bare feet in the grass, knitting. Listening to the river and listening to the birds while Bracken played was wonderfully refreshing.
.
…Good movies we’ve haven’t seen in such a long time that they feel new again.
.
…Deciding to turn a day around when it was going greatly south and then doing just that, because it was too sunny and beautiful outside to have such a day.
.
…Sundays. I love Sundays.

You and I are two peas in a pod, although I could never wait that long to get my calendar organized 🙂 It is my very favorite project!!!

It was hard to wait, believe me! 🙂

Taryn, I have so enjoyed your last several post’s. You have been so busy but find the time to share such great stories and lovely photos. Sure, that’s what blogging is, but I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. Also, I can’t wait to go to Vanilla Jill’s and a few other places you have mentioned or recommended. Awhile ago you wished my daughter good luck on her interview. She got the job and will be moving to Eugene by the end of the month. Bittersweet to say the least. But very exciting. Weekend adventures await!

Congrats to your daughter! I know that must be hard to have her moving farther away. I hope I can meet the two of you at Saturday Market one of these weekends. 🙂
