{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Bracken and I stopping to admire the bleeding hearts in bloom.
.
…Nights when I got the kitchen completely cleaned up so I could have a good start the next morning.
.
…Getting to chat and catch up with my sister on the phone when our schedules aligned and we could connect at the same time.
.
…Fresh-squeezed lime juice, cilantro, kimchi, horseradish, basil, pesto… and all the other things that make such delicious additions to our meals.
.
…Rocking on the laundry and getting a load of woolens washed too.
.
…The toner for our printer arriving just in time for me to print labels for the online orders I needed to mail out.
.
…Jeff taking extra time to make us a really delicious dinner when Bracken and I came back from a long day.
.
…Bracken spotting the first ripe salmonberries in the woods.
.
…The fact that none of us were in the kitchen when the light fixture fell from the ceiling. It was freaky, and I had just been in that spot sweeping a few minutes before. It felt like we had some angels watching over us.
.
…Putting some drops of lavender essential oil around our car after I vacuumed it. My mom does that and it was such a great idea, it smelled so good and fresh.
.
…The handmade gifts that Bracken made for his great grandma for her birthday. (And the fact that they arrived on her birthday, since I had mailed them out later than I’d intended.)
.
…Running into some old neighbors, just happening to pop in the same place at the same time.
.
…Bracken’s kitchen inspirations and his idea to add some cut up oranges to our salad. It really made the whole salad.
.
…The surprise of sun and beautiful weather at market yesterday. We hadn’t expected it and I had bundled us all up in wool, so we were glad to shed some layers and enjoy the sunshine.

Having the kitchen clean does wonders for your morning doesn’t it!? Also, I am going to spray some lavender in the car today. Our car had water in it when we flooded a couple of weeks ago and it stinks! Thanks for the idea.
