{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…How happy bright yellow sunflowers make me every time I look at them. (And how many Jeff planted in the garden this year because we all love them so much.)
.
…Listening to 80’s music while I cleaned up the kitchen. It was awesome and definitely motivating. (In high school my friend and I used to make each other mixed tapes with all 80’s music because we were both such fans.)
.
…Peaches on pancakes. Yum.
.
…Learning that wormwood helps repel moths from wool, which was great to know since Jeff just harvested ours in the garden and we weren’t sure what to do with it.
.
…Jeff being able to find the part he needed and fix his broken tool so he could get his workshop back up and running again. And then finding the perfect table stand at Habitat for Humanity for the display we wanted to build.
.
…A home day of tying up so many loose ends and getting caught up on lots of little things, which made me happy. (Because little things accumulating start to feel like big things.)
.
…Time with friends, especially when that chance to connect is so needed.
.
…Swinging by a store before they said my order would be ready, because I was in the neighborhood, and then being happily surprised that it was ready and I had saved myself a lot of time and a trip across town later.
.
…A sweet little girl we love being okay after a bad reaction to a bee sting. What a scary experience for my friend (her mama) and we’re all so grateful she’s okay.
.
…Getting the splinter out of Jeff’s heel that was right in a nerve and causing him so much pain. It was a family affair while one person held the flashlight and another the tweezers, but we finally got it out and it turned out to be a huge blackberry thorn.
.
…Our chicken, Princess Buttercup, being okay after she got attacked by an animal.
