{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Our first passionflower in bloom in the garden. It opened on a single day and we all marveled at how beautiful it was. It hasn’t opened since and we’ve been waiting for it to open again.
.
…Salads with our homegrown lettuce, they are the best.
.
…Using my sewing machine again. Most of the time it sits in the corner unused, but every time I give it some use on a little project I wonder why I don’t use it more often.
.
…Clearing clutter, which clears my mind.
.
…A nourishing smoothie to give me a boost when I was having an afternoon energy slump. It refueled me and it was delicious.
.
…Talking things out when you feel heavyhearted and then feeling much, much better. Listening ears from people who care, that is such a gift.
.
…A lizard climbing up the wall in our kitchen! And Jeff telling us that in some parts of the world a lizard in the house is considered a good omen. I’ll take it.
.
…Our friend giving us a box of plums from her tree. I know she woke up very early before work to pick some to share with us and her thoughtfulness made us appreciate them even more.
.
…Bracken’s joy whenever he is helping me in the kitchen. He’s constantly asking me “What else can I do?” and there is always, always something else that needs doing in the kitchen.
.
…Changing up routines and starting new traditions.

All in your blog is so peaceful!! I love it!
The passionflower is great, I love both the flowers and the taste of its fruit.
🙂
Love those passion flowers, they grow as a weed in our garden but are very beautiful.
Grated up 6 marrows last night, 16 bags for the freezer! Thanks for your tips. I took the seeds out after the first 2 as the seeds were still pretty big in the bags, even after going through the food processor grater.
Glad you’ve been getting so much frozen, Joy! That’s wonderful. I have one variety of zucchini with hardly any seeds at all and another with tons of seeds. The one with lots of seeds is a pain when I’m trying to grate them. 🙂
Yes, a lizard in the house is considered a good omen here in Greece as well 🙂
I’m glad to hear it. The lizard came on a day when I needed a good omen, so it felt like a gift. 🙂
