My friend April, the talent behind Little Trees Photography, is such an amazing photographer. I love the photos she takes! I’ve mentioned her and have shared her pictures here before. Like last year, she captured some beautiful moments from Bracken’s special day. I shared about his birthday in this post, and I loved seeing the day through her lens when she sent these along to me. She got some family pictures that day as well (with the grape arbor in the background, what a great idea on her part), which I am so grateful for (even if I wasn’t feeling very photogenic.) I joked that I could have used our same family picture from last year for our holiday cards this year, but you know… people would probably notice. Ha! It is so wonderful to get an updated family picture each year. What a gift pictures can be, capturing those important connections and memories in our lives. Every time April has shared pictures with me, I’ve always felt I’ve been given such a precious gift. Having these pictures to look back on is something that I will treasure. Remember that year when the storms came and then the trees fell and we almost had to postpone the party? But then we got the trees cleared just in the nick of time? Oh, yes, we’ll always remember that. And we’ll have some pictures from that day to look back on, too.
