{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Eating the corn that Jeff and Bracken harvested in the garden, including some from Bracken’s own garden. (We didn’t expect much, since our limited-sun garden is not the best place to grow corn, but did it for fun and were happy we got some corn.)
.
…Sleeping deeply and good dreams. I love the feeling of waking up from a really good dream.
.
…Making a soup that used up some leftovers, and the garden produce we needed to eat up, and turned out so delicious. And Bracken enjoying adding the spices, cutting up the celery, and being in charge of the stirring.
.
…Opening up an avocado to find it perfectly ripe and creamy. That doesn’t always happen, so I’m very glad when it does.
.
…Jeff helping us get out the door on time and having a snack all packed for Bracken for our long day.
.
…A sweet customer insisting on paying us extra for a custom order Jeff made for her.
.
…Saving a dragonfly that got stuck in a web on the front porch. Bracken kept it in his insect carrier for a little while before he let it go and we all got to admire the beautiful iridescent colors it had.
.
…Bracken always wanting to bring in insects to show his friend at the post office.
.
…My mom being safe and sound after the hurricane came through where she lives in Florida. I was so relieved and deeply grateful.

I’m so glad to hear your mom is safe and sound after the hurricane! I , to, live in Florida, on the east coast. We are OK also. We lost power for about 12 hours and had alot of debris around.It was mostly broken tree branches and alot of leaves.Your corn looks yummy.I grow lots of herbs,especially rosemary. kerie
