{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The beautiful fall nature treasures that Bracken has been finding.
.
…Jeff harvesting all the lemon verbena in the garden and hanging it to dry. Whenever I walk by it in the living room, it smells so good.
.
…Watching a PBS nature documentary called Animal Odd Couples from the library. The stories of the unexpected friendships were sweet and touching, and we all enjoyed watching it so much.
.
…Finding our missing chicken leash that had disappeared for months. Now Bracken can take his favorite chicken on walks around the garden again.
.
…Lemon water. We all drink more water when I add a bit of lemon to it, and it tastes so good that way.
.
…Trading for beets and cabbage, two things we didn’t grow in our garden this year, but that our friend grew plenty of.
.
…Soup cooking on the stove. And that good feeling all day long of knowing that dinner is already made and all you have to do at mealtime is dish it up in bowls.
.
…Dreaming as a family of things we want to build and create together.
.
…Still having the bunching onions to harvest in the garden and enjoy with our meals. Jeff and I were so glad we grow those this year and have enjoyed them for many months now. I love that whenever we need one, we can just go out and pull one out of the ground.
.
…Bracken’s animated stories that he tells everywhere he goes. Lately it starts with “Can I tell you something?”, with no pause for a response as he immediately launches into his tale.
