{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…All the pretty flowers in Bracken’s dried flower garden. Now, as the garden wraps up for the year, there will be some flowers to bring inside, dry, and enjoy for much longer.
.
…Accepting help when I need it.
.
…Making dinner in the morning before we left the house, so that it would be all ready when we came home tired and hungry.
.
…Looking out the window at the pigeons eating elderberries and the blue jays eating beech nuts.
.
…Meeting kindred spirits.
.
…Getting an oil change and the tires rotated on our car. Always feels good to get things like that done.
.
…Staying up late to read a book I couldn’t put down.
.
…Going to investigate when our duck called to me when I walked by. She had a string wrapped around her leg (must have gotten in their yard accidentally from the garden clean up, as we were throwing greens to them.) I was able to set her free, which made me glad I was in the right place when she needed help.
.
…Fixing the part on our booth that broke.
.
…The cozy feeling of a fire in the woodstove on a cold day. The day before I had been working in the garden, sweating in the hot afternoon sun, and the next needed the woodstove to warm the house up. Now it feels like fall.

I hear you on having supper ready early so you can have it all prepared at the end of the day. That is a huge blessing and something I should do more often.

I should too! Maybe by writing it down it will help me remember to do that more. 🙂
