{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Greens, greens, greens. And the reminder to eat them more often!
.
…Autumn colored handknits. Deep reds, ambers and golden yellows. I gravitate towards those colors, but especially now that it’s fall and I see those colors around me.
.
…Bracken discovering a little hole in the bottom of a tree that looked just like a fairy house. It was magical.
.
…Homemade soup. We’ve all been in the mood for warm bowls of soup lately. And when Bracken and I came home from a long day of running around and were starving, that batch of soup that Jeff had all ready and waiting for us was so appreciated!
.
…Jeff renting a leaf blower for the day for a great deal, and making the most out of that time. It looked so much better around here afterwards and the leaf blower saved so much time.
.
…The kindest message from a friend. Though I didn’t exactly feel deserving of all the kind things she said about me, I sure appreciated it, and needed those words that day.
.
…Getting into the groove of the kitchen again and spending more time there.
.
…Bracken catching a grasshopper, feeding it celery leaves and sunflower seeds, and getting to watch it eat. Then catching a butterfly in the garden and feeding it orange slices. We had quite a bit of insect entertainment that day.
.
…Running into so many people we knew while we were running errands around town one day. I love that small town feeling of knowing people everywhere you go.
.
…Trying fermented broccoli for the first time. I love trying new foods and it was delicious.

It really is wonderful when someone thoughtfully prepares just the right meal for you! I’m grateful for a beautiful afternoon the other day, pulling up dead plants from my garden wearing my flipflops in November! l
