{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The squash casserole that Jeff surprised Bracken with. Not only was it extra nourishing with egg yolks and coconut oil, the smiley face with raisins, dried blueberries, and coconut flakes delighted him to no end.
.
…Bracken and I spending time in the kitchen together, and how incredibly helpful he has been with all our kitchen projects. I’m so thankful he’s learning such valuable skills in the kitchen that will serve him for the rest of his life.
.
…Finding purple sweet potatoes at the grocery store! After growing them in the garden for the first time this year, we were delighted to find them available at the store because we had never seen them there before.
.
…Bracken writing a note to the fairies and putting it in the garden, asking them if they would like to be his pet. (And then telling them that he will give them fresh fruit every day if they agree.) Precious.
.
…A day so warm and beautiful, it didn’t even feel like November.
.
…Vacuuming out the car. Ahhh, much better! I had been wanting to vacuum it out for over a month by that point and it’s amazing what peace of mind simply vacuuming out the car can bring me. (That’s three dollars very well spent!)
.
…Jeff and I laughing together because I heard a sound in the night and I wasn’t sure if it was an animal outside or his nose whistle. He has had the same thing happen to him with my sleeping sounds and we thought it was hilarious. “Is that a bear? Get the flashlight! Oh wait, it’s just a nose whistle…” Ha!
.
…Using the gift certificate my friend had given me for my birthday to a local yarn shop and getting the knitting needles I needed for my next projects.
.
…Rose hydrosol spray from Mountain Rose Herbs. It’s so heavenly to spritz yourself with that subtle scent of rose before bed. It relaxes and calms me and makes me feel refreshed at the same time.
.
…A home day where we didn’t need to go anywhere, not even the post office, which hadn’t happened in awhile and was such a treat.

Question: Do you write your gratitude ideas down during the week or simply remember them all on Sunday. I like the idea of gratitude Sunday and would like to start, even if I don’t post it to the world. Please let me know. And thanks!!!

Hi Bianca! I write a gratitude list every night (always aiming to write down at least 10 things from each day) before bed and then I pick some from my daily lists for my Sunday post each week. 🙂 It’s a habit I’ve been doing for many years now and it has helped me immensely.
