{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Little pops of color still lingering outside.
.
…Bracken stringing cranberries for our holiday decorations. And then bringing a piece of paper on car rides to keep track of all the houses he sees with Christmas lights. I love it!
.
…The warmth from the woodstove on cold days. Jeff hasn’t been able to split wood since his surgery (which has been driving him crazy, and his ax is much too heavy for me) and burning the large pieces of firewood means we have to have it up higher so they’ll burn, and that makes our house a bit of a sauna sometimes. But we much prefer sweating in our cozy sauna house than being cold!
.
…Epsom salt baths and clean jammies before bed.
.
…Homemade soups. They’re warming, nourishing, and delicious, and we’ve all been looking forward to soup night these days.
.
…Seeing all the beautiful new things Jeff made as they emerged from his workshop, and then loving the looks on people’s faces and how excited they got over them in our market booth.
.
…The surprise of how good our experimental popsicles turned out. Bracken and I made some popsicles with coconut milk, cilantro, spirulina and banana. I wasn’t expecting much (and thought maybe a single banana wouldn’t be enough), but they were surprisingly delicious.
.
…No freezing rain on the day we thought we might be due for some. We were glad to not be driving on icy roads that day.
.
…Painting some ornaments while Bracken did some painting projects next me. It was a quiet, peaceful break in the middle of a very busy day.
.
…Containers for things. And how much better a space can feel with a very simple and quick bit of organization.

I am so grateful this week for the company and care of friends, broth, homemade eggnog, some festive snow showers, and quiet time to do some crafting with my kiddos….. I always love reading your detailed gratitudes, Taryn! Thank You!
