{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Witnessing the most incredibly beautiful frozen world with icicles everywhere. More icicles than any of us had ever seen before, and just breathtaking.
.
…The fact that there was no ice at our home (being closer to the coast) and that we’ve had our electricity on all week. I heard more than 30,000 homes in our county lost power and many are still without. (I believe today will be day 5 for some.) Hoping everyone gets electricity again soon. I’m grateful that our friends without it have had nearby family to stay with.
.
…Jeff ordering something online which was easy, quick, and had free shipping. It saved us a whole trip to town during a time we didn’t really have a spare day to do so.
.
…Making a smoothie with parsley in it for the first time and liking it. I was fond of cilantro in smoothies, but was still hesitant about parsley because it has a stronger flavor. I’m glad I’ve changed my mind about it.
.
…Jeff being able to split firewood again. He is so happy about that!
.
…Turning on the Christmas music when I was growing tired in the afternoon and needed to be energized to finish taping up boxes. It worked. (I also turn on the music when I need a boost when cleaning. Amazing, really, how much music can get us moving again.)
.
…Soups with parsnips, turnips, kale, carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, turnip tops, and every vegetable I can find.
.
…Saying goodbye to our old printer and scanner and hauling them out of here. We weren’t sorry to see them go. And we’re quite pleased that our new printer is also a scanner all in one so it takes up much less space.
.
…My favorite guacamole being at the grocery store (their homemade guacamole goes fast on the days they offer it) when I was craving some, but had no time to make any.
.
…A loved one being out of the hospital, back at home, and doing much better. Feeling especially grateful for that.

This week I have felt grateful for the joy of companionship with family, delicious food, and a trip to the mountain!
I am also really excited to try your sugar free coconut oil cordyceps candies, Taryn!
