{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Finding these pictures from a few weeks ago of the nature bits Bracken found in the yard when he wanted to make a vase for the house and there were hardly any flowers to be seen. (He did find a few tiny flowers though.) I love his idea to make vases full of ferns and I love his creativity.
.
…Cilantro and lime. Avocado and lime. And all the combinations that go so well together.
.
…A thunderstorm with some of the best thunder I’ve heard since I moved here. (Those Midwest thunderstorms I grew up with are a lot to live up to.)
.
…Leftover soup. Easy peasy. It’s so nice to have a meal that’s already made and all you have to do is heat it up.
.
…A friend’s excitement over learning to knit. I was so happy for her and it’s always a good thing to have another knitter in the world. Peace in the world, one knitter at a time, right?
.
…The weather cooperating, and the roads being clear, so we could get some good time with friends.
.
…Bracken doing a treasure hunt for Jeff after being inspired by a book we read. When he completed the treasure hunt, he found some hidden coins.
.
…A friend sharing some elk meat with us. We hadn’t had any for a long time, we all like it, and we always enjoy having more variety in our diet.
.
…Getting rid of an old chair that was in bad shape and ready to go. What a relief it was to haul that heavy thing out of here and clear the space.
.
…Jeff bringing lots of firewood in the house yesterday while I was busy in the kitchen. And having a warm, cozy house on a cold day.
