{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The honeysuckles out the front door being so close to blooming, and knowing we’ll be able to smell their heavenly scent very soon!
.
…Baking banana bread for the first time ever. (Why have I never made banana bread before?) It turned out delicious and I was so excited. Our family devoured it and it’s time to do some more baking.
.
…Waking up to sunshine and opening all the windows for the day. How fresh and wonderful that feels!
.
…New vegetables to eat. I’m so grateful for the grocery store and all the produce we can get there year round, but I’m also grateful when the farmer’s market is full of good things and we can enjoy more variety (since we’ve been eating many of the same vegetables over and over.)
.
…Jeff making me a batch of tea with peppermint and nettles. It was a nice surprise and just what my body was wanting that day.
.
…The freshness outside on a rainy day. And seeing how much our garden appreciated it.
.
…Turning on some music to give me a boost later in the day when my energy was starting to wane, but I needed to finish making dinner.
.
…Clearing our schedule and having some home time when I was feeling worn a bit too thin and needed some time at home to get grounded and regenerate.
.
…Bracken being so happy and smiling (and Jeff too!) whenever he gets some one on one time with his dad. They’ve been having a special day together every week where they work in the garden, do projects together, or go on adventures. I get to focus on work and appreciate that time to catch up on things.
.
…My happy time of knitting a little before bed each night. The days are so busy and that quiet stretch before bed is such a peaceful way to unwind, and such a gift to myself.
