{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Beauty all around when you look for it.
.
…My family eating the breakfast I made without complaint, even though it turned out way too salty. (We ate some, but then gave the rest to the chickens.)
.
…Teaching Bracken how to make paper chains. Our friend gave him enough paper strips to “make a paper chain as big as your house if he wants to.” His paper-chain-making really took off and now our living room is quite decorated, which we all love.
.
…Finding a spot in the moss in the woods that was shaped just like a heart.
.
…A long summer day spent mostly outside. More of those, please!
.
…Encouraging Bracken to do things for himself, and then seeing him take out a needle and thread and mend the rip in his pants. Awesome!
.
…My dad and stepmom driving up and spending the day with us. We had such a nice time.
.
…Getting into jammies, eating delicious (and easy) leftovers for dinner, and watching a hilarious movie. Add a little knitting and it’s my favorite way to end the day, laughing with my family.
.
…Discovering new places close to home. Isn’t it wonderful when you drive past a spot for years and then realize you had a treasure nearby for so long?
.
…Cleaning out our freezer in the garage, which needs to be done once a year. I’m so glad Jeff insisted that project needed to be tackled because now there’s more room for the berries we’ve been picking.
.
…Talking sense into myself, setting the work aside, and going to sleep when I was too tired to do anything but sleep anyway.
