{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Seeing how much our kiwi plants have grown this last year. (We ate some little kiwis from the store and it made us so excited to have our own here someday.) All the leaves on the hardy kiwis have now changed color in the short time since I took these pictures.
.
…Eating our breakfast outside every day we had sunny skies, and soaking up the beautiful fall days- and savoring them- while they’re here.
.
…Listening to new music and discovering new favorites.
.
…A screen in our bedroom window that actually fits! We’ve bought screens, made screens to fit, but nothing was ever a snug fit without gaps. Finally we had one custom made at a window shop and then the measurements were so exact we couldn’t get it to go in, but luckily Jeff did some finagling and it’s a perfect fit.
.
…Baking sweet potatoes and eating those for dinner when we had eaten a later lunch that day and weren’t all that hungry. They perfectly hit the spot, I love sweet potatoes for dinner and want to do that more often. (Especially when we’re exhausted at the end of the day- having nothing to do for dinner prep but stick sweet potatoes in the oven is pretty nice I must say!)
.
…The cozy feeling of being tucked in by the fire with my family at night.
.
…Getting home safe during a crazy thunderstorm where there was so much hail and rain all at once, and branches across the road. When we got home it felt exciting, the air is always feels so charged with all that lighting. (I felt like I was back in the Midwest for a moment.)
.
…Hearing some feedback from some of you about how much you’ve liked the chia pudding recipe, and then my mom telling me she loved it when she came to visit and tried some while she was here. I’m so glad!
.
…Family and friends who celebrated Bracken’s birthday with us, and in some cases traveled quite a way to be there, we were so thankful.
.
…Writing Gratitude Sunday, even though it’s a day late. (Better late than not at all, right? Normally I like to let you all know if I won’t be here for Gratitude Sunday, but we’ve been so busy with birthday preparations and celebrating, that I didn’t get a chance to get over here until now.)
