I had a fun time at Cozy over the weekend, and what a great turnout! Thanks so much to everyone who came by to say hello (and to everyone who bought buttons, we so appreciate your support!) I loved seeing the local knitting community rally behind the first ever (!) yarn shop hop in Eugene. …And it sounds like it will be happening again next year, which is wonderful news.
Sidenote: to those of you who came in search of shawl pins, our apologies! Jeff had been working and working on a giant batch of shawl pins, and nearly had them finished up for the weekend. (Just needed to cut the strips of wood to sand for the sticks.) But our saw broke, and then it broke again. (Sound familiar? How Jeff manages to stay so positive while tools are breaking down around him all the time is beyond me, but he does.) We ran around last week buying replacement parts and he kept fixing it, but alas the shawl pins were not finished in time. (He has also been busy with lots of custom orders and getting ready for an upcoming festival in the midst of all this, things are never boring around here!)
Did any of you join Local Yarn Store Day and visit a yarn shop near you?
