Our second family reunion of the summer was in Sunriver, Oregon, with my dad’s side of the family. It was my first time to Sunriver, and it was beautiful. We fit so many things in while we were there. We went on a hike at Benham Falls. We went to the Oregon Observatory one night, which was really neat. We went to a lake for some fishing, and the cousins got to take turns going on their first kayak rides with their aunt. (We had a baby shower for that same aunt. So exciting!) We explored a lava cave. Bracken worked on riding a bike with his uncle, and had so much fun playing with his cousins the whole time he didn’t want it to end. We had big family meals and games, and there was quite a crew in our group photos! I thought about my grandpa and the way he would be smiling down at all of us, getting the family together was so important to him.
