It’s February and we’ve been busy filling up the shop with lots of hearts! I love the hearts all the time, but we have even more heart-love going on in the shop right now than usual. We have a new size heart button we’re offering for the first time, measuring an inch wide. They are a great size for so many creative projects, and I love how the larger size shows more of the beauty and variety of the red cedar wood. We currently have those available in sets of two, sets of four, and sets of six. We still have our heart buttons available in the size we’ve been making for years (this latest batch measures between 3/4″ – 7/8″), and those are available in sets of two. Jeff has also been making tiny heart buttons that I think are too adorable for words! (5/8″) I’ve been posting a set in the shop from time to time, we have a few of those in the shop right now.

We have something else new in the shop! In addition to heart buttons, we have heart earrings. This is the first time we’ve ever had heart earrings available online. These make wonderful gifts! Jeff carves the heart shapes and sands them so smooth it makes the wood glow. The cedar makes for lightweight earrings, and as I’ve written about with our red cedar earrings before, the wood is absorbent and works great for aromatherapy earrings when you put a drop of essential oil on the back of each earring.
