And…. here is project #2 that I made in the sewing class over the summer- a drawstring bag. We had a bit of a last minute baby shower for my sister (my sister is pregnant, I’m so excited!) during our family reunion (summertime- thus the baby apples in the pictures), and I wanted to make something for the baby, but didn’t have much time. So I decided that I’d make a sweet handmade bag to put some other gifts in. The fabric was some adorable fabric my friend (and sewing teacher) had. We didn’t know the gender at the time, so I chose fabrics I thought would be fun either way, and then I used a ribbon for the drawstring. I love both the arrows and polka dots. I adore this bag! I figured it would come in handy for something, because you can never have too many bags for holding baby things. It may have been a pretty simple project, but I felt really proud of it!
P.S. I didn’t make this bib, but fell in love with it at a little baby boutique in town, and had to get it. (They called the style a bandana bib, and the fabric happened to be some lusciously soft organic cotton.) I also had to share a picture. If I ever found that fabric for sale anywhere, I would want to make so many projects out of it!
