These pictures have nothing to do with my post today, just a beautiful clover I saw blooming in our yard.
How can it be Thursday? We got home Sunday evening and it seems like I just blinked and all the sudden it was Thursday. We’ve been exhausted and recuperating. I’m behind on e-mails and laundry. We’re getting back into the swing of things. I’ve been writing all about the wedding, but I haven’t finished my post yet. It’ll happen.
What I haven’t told you yet is that Jeff’s tooth got infected before we left. I was worried about him the whole time. He reluctantly took some antibiotics. For those of you who are familiar with the GAPS diet (the diet we were on for so long), you’ll know it helps heal the damage that antibiotics do in the body. You’ll also know how disappointing it felt for Jeff to have to take them. But antibiotics are important for emergencies and it certainly felt like an emergency. I won’t go into details, but he’s been in an extreme amount of pain. He has the highest pain tolerance of anyone I know, so that’s saying a lot. Long story short: he had a tooth with a root canal and a crown, the crown fell off, and the tooth got infected. We’ve been following a lot of the advice from the book: Cure Tooth Decay, but his tooth is beyond healing and needs to be removed. We’ve been calling every day to get an appointment. We’ve had to wait for a cancellation or else they couldn’t get him in till November. They called this morning and they had a cancellation, so we have an appointment this afternoon! We were planning to be at the market this weekend, but I’m not counting on it now. We’re off to the dentist. Wish us luck!
