Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Watching Bracken carefully watering the daffodil shoots coming up in the yard and reminding Jeff and I not to step on them. Just as he did last year.
.
…Making a sewing pattern for the first time and learning for the next time.
.
…Bracken deciding that he wanted to hand out the maple seeds that he had collected with his grandpa to his friends and to children on the playground. I loved seeing some of the children’s eyes light up and then coming back and asking us for some more.
.
…My friend offering to let me borrow some knitting needles for a project I’ve been really wanting to make.
.
…Baking cookies in the evening with a helper by my side. Made with good ingredients and we all liked them. It got me excited to experiment with some more recipes.
.
…Dropping more things off at the thrift store. Feels so good to be downsizing around here!
.
….The sound of Jeff and Bracken laughing and playing downstairs when I came up to get something. One of my favorite sounds in the world.
.
…Jeff walking out of the grocery store with a surprise for Bracken, a primrose to plant along our front walkway. He held it in his lap the rest of the ride home, saying how pretty it was.
.
…Discovering how well vinegar cleans glass (after my mom told me that’s what my grandma uses.)
.
…Jeff making me a beautiful wooden shelf after I asked for one and hanging it on the wall. I’m so happy every time I look at it.
.
…Having a little boy who loves brushing my hair so much lately. It feels so good to have your hair brushed!
.
…Being proud of myself for getting better all the time at packing light when I go on a trip. (I have to remind myself I can do laundry and don’t need a separate outfit for every single day I’m there.)
.
…Posting this a bit early since we leave for Florida. Woo Hoo!
