Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The daffodils Bracken has been bringing inside to put in vases in the kitchen window. And the ones blooming out in the yard.
.
…Experiments in the kitchen.
.
…Jeff putting our mason bee cocoons that we saved over the winter, outside to hatch. We’ll see if any made it and either way we’ll know how to better store them next year.
.
…Jeff’s ability to fix tools that break down in his shop.
.
…My mom’s dog being okay after an aggressive dog got loose and tried to come after him.
.
…Finding homes for every single carton of eggs we brought to town last week. That was wonderful. Thank you!
.
…A trip to the grocery store where we found so many great deals and sales, we came out happy with our scores.
.
…The fact that my sister introduced me to using a Neti Pot awhile ago. When I remember to actually use it, it works wonders. It really cleared my sinuses this week when I felt a headache coming on. (And now Jeff is a fan too!)
.
…My dad calling me and telling me that someone really enjoyed my blog. (And the story behind it filled with synchronicity.) His words meant a lot to me.
.
…Friends coming over and the boys going down the slide together “like a train.”
.
…Going on a hike in the woods with Bracken in search of trilliums. We did see a single one in bloom. Waiting for more.
.
…Seeing The Big Dipper out the window at night.
.
…Posting new items in the shop and the satisfying feeling of filling it up more and more.
.
…My mom making it to my sister’s for a visit right before the flights were cancelled. The timing was really lucky.
.
…Being able to talk to my uncle while he was in the hospital. Hearing his voice filled my heart.

Oh, you already have trillium. Here in the mountains of southwest Virginia we won’t see them for at least two more months. Enjoy! I love reading your blog too.

I love to experiment in the kitchen and flowers from my kids make me so happy. I often have a glass of dandelions sitting in my window in the summertime. Wonderful gratitudes for this week.
