Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Continually seeing more and more color throughout the garden.
.
…Some quiet, peaceful time sewing on buttons and wrapping up projects. I savor every bit of that I get.
.
…Bracken and I getting to skype with my mom and sister. Video calls can be such a gift when your loved ones are far away, as my sister so perfectly said.
.
…Feedback from friends that was immensely helpful.
.
…People who give you the chance to make things right when you mess up.
.
…Taking pictures of new buttons for the shop while Jeff weeded the raspberry patch and Bracken brought weeds to the chickens and ducks. And then joining them when I finished.
.
…Surrendering when it was just what was needed. And then breathing a huge sigh of relief to not be struggling with the decision in my mind any longer.
.
…Bracken exclaiming over all the petals on the driveway that looked like snow. (We didn’t get any this year, though I’m sure those of you on the East Coast would have been more than happy to share some with us this winter!)
.
…Collapsing in exhaustion at the end of the day and snuggling into clean sheets.
.
…Jeff defrosting the freezer when it was in great need of it.
.
…Times when I actually followed my intuition and didn’t dismiss it. (And the times that I didn’t. Because I still learned something, even if I did it the hard way.)
.
…Encouragement and support when I especially needed it.
