…Joining Ginny’s YarnAlong, sharing what I’m knitting and reading…
That brown knitted bit to the side? That’s ready to be stuffed with wool and become a little bear’s head. Remember Blueberry Bear that I knitted for Bracken? My mom made a comment about it once, saying how much she loved it and that she wanted one for herself. I don’t think she expected me to take her seriously, but when she found out I was knitting a bear for her, she was so happy. I have some pretty cute plans for this one. It’s going to be a girly bear, we both decided it needs a headband with a flower on it.
Speaking of my mom, she’s been telling me to read ‘Breakfast with Buddha’ by Roland Merullo for awhile now. Saying “you gotta read it!” My grandma recommended it to her and she really enjoyed it so she highly recommended it to me. I finally picked it up at the library. I’m not very far in, but so far it’s just like she said- a light read. And that’s just the perfect thing for me right now. Right away I liked the author’s writing style. I’ll have more to say when I’ve read more of it.
How about you? Knitting? Reading?

What a cute little bear pattern! I have put in my favorites on Ravelry. Your book is one I have had on my shelf to read for quite some time, but you know what they say….”so many books, so little time”! I will need something light to read after I finish my current book, All the Light We Cannot See.

I just requested Breakfast with Buddha – and noticed that there are two sequels, Lunch with and Dinner with. Have you ever read The Walk by Richard Paul Evans? Story of a man who has lost his wife and his life has fallen apart. He decides to walk from Seattle (where he lives) to Key West FL. The series is five books that are fascinating – I grabbed the next one as soon as it was available as I followed his walk. Fiction but so good – the people he meets, the towns he travels through, the hazards of walking alone, the personal tragedy that strikes him mid-walk – how his life was changed and stretched. Do you still want the recordable Winnie-The-Pooh? My daughter mailed it to Braken ages ago and it came back – now sitting in her house but they’re getting ready to move. Brand new for a young man who loves Winnie and his crew.

I’ve never heard of The Walk, thanks for the suggestion! Yes, we would still love the recordable Winnie-The-Pooh. Wonder why it came back? Our address is still the same: The Wilson Family P.O. Box 483, Mapleton, OR 97453. Thank you so much!

I just requested 3 library books and all 3 came in at once. I must get to some serious reading!
Enjoy!

I will let you know. And that’s always what happens when I request books at the library- they all come at once! 🙂

I love your posts! I’m working on a stocking cap for newborn twins. They are Dr. Seuss themed.
