{Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Ice on a stick. Bracken discovered a bucket outside that had filled with rainwater, then got a layer of ice over the top. There also happened to be a stick in that bucket, making it easy to pick up, and he thought it was the coolest.
.
…Crisp, delicious apples from the farmer’s market. Much better than the ones we had been buying at the grocery store, after not visiting the farmer’s market for a stretch. We’ll enjoy them locally for as long as we can!
.
…Vegetables in all different colors. Roasted vegetables are something I’m always in the mood for and last week Jeff baked a blend of onion, garlic, beets, turnips, and sweet potatoes. So good.
.
…Getting some pictures of our buttons outside, with the perfect lighting, right before the rain started.
.
…The support of our customers, who make it possible for us to have our family business we love.
.
…Cozy things. The smell of soup bubbling on the stove. The warmth of the wood stove on a cold day. Pajamas and warm, wooly layers.
.
…Leftovers. Leftovers in soup. Leftovers on salad. Or just plain leftovers.
.
…Washing a load of woolens, after they had been piling up and it had been far too long since I’d done so. (Always feels good to get whatever is piling up moving along.)
.
…Bracken loving our friends and going around the house gathering up all sorts of our belongings to wrap up and give them as gifts. He gets so excited and wants to give them everything. When they come: “Do you want this?” is repeated over and over.
.
…Finding three apples left on our tree and discovering that they still tasted good with a layer of ice on top.

I feel so very grateful to be able to spend so much time together as a family. My husband mostly works at home as a composer and I’m a very creative stay at home mum. Being able to make a living following our creative dreams is challenging but so rewarding……and it fills my heart with gratitude.
Sending you a hug from Holland,
xxx Sas
