Yesterday our family took a drive down the coast to Coos Bay and got to visit Art of Life for the first time. What a lovely space filled with local art! It’s an art gallery with a focus on art from the Pacific Northwest. In their words: “Our mission is to connect artists, and art lovers who live in or visit the beautiful Pacific Northwest through creations inspired by this place.”
I took some pictures to share with you and give you a peek into the space too. See those little ceramic sculptures? I fell in love with them! There are many beautiful offerings there and we even recognized a few of our artist friends’ work. You can now find a selection of our wooden earrings and pendants there! (I’ve been working on getting my list current here, so you can know the shops where you can find us.) We don’t get to visit the shops that want to carry our items when they are far away, but it’s such fun when they are close enough that we are able to. If you are ever in Coos Bay, Art of Life is a great stop along the way!
I asked Molly, the owner, if there were any great places to eat. She recommended Shark Bites, saying they had a selection of local seafood. We ate there before we drove back home and all enjoyed our meals. It was a fun mini-trip for the day. Now Bracken and I are going on another trip for a few days. We are heading over to Bend today with my dad for a ski adventure. We’re so excited, Bracken has been counting down the days and telling everyone everywhere we go that he is going skiing. Bracken asked me if the very first thing he could do when we get there is to play in the snow. I’ll be back here on Sunday for Gratitude Sunday. Have a great weekend!

Whoot Whoot!!! That’s fabulous and we are tickled pink that you have your work in another brick & mortar. We’re going to have to stop in there on our next trip to the coast 🙂

Loved seeing the shots of down town CB. I have been looking for hand made mugs. Just the right size and weight has been kind of hard to find, but I’m not in a hurry. The searching has been kinda fun. We are coming down there this Tuesday so I will have to check them out. Love Shark Bites, but I can’t wait to go to Elkhorn BBQ food truck. They can be found on FB to see where they are parked. Hope your snow trip is a safe one and full of fun.

you do…every day you post, inspire. Here I am with a hot cup of petunia tea…I also enjoy following your links and reading about the lives and work of others…especially enjoyed the ceramic sculpture site from Creswell…
Do you have any places in Portland that carry your things..??? What with all of the knit/yarn shope up here..I would imagine that there would be takers for the buttons…you should try to bring a trunk show to one of the shops for the Rose City Yarn Crawl the first weekend of March.
enjoy your skiing trip.
