These are some pictures I’ve taken throughout the summer, filled with good, summery fun. It’s been fun to look back at them and see some of the things our summer days have been filled with this year, like meetups at the park with friends (it’s been a highlight of our summer and something we look forward to each week.) The biggest ones play and sometimes the littlest one naps (what a love she is), and I’d say all those busy kids sleep especially well on those nights. Our summer days have also been filled with muddy feet (more like muddy socks, and bare feet dipped in a light “dirt bath”), butterfly friends (the one above was found injured in our garden and he rescued it), painting (one minute those lifelong friends are quietly painting side by side and the next wildly wrestling), crafting with play dough, and evening dips in the pool (once the water is not quite so warm anymore!) We often meet up with our friends in town (some of our friends live out in the woods too, so we meet in a central location.) Living where we do, when they come our way we don’t take it for granted, and so appreciate having them here. Oh, and that last picture? That, my friends, is blueberry art. You take a blueberry (dried, then rehydrated, or fresh or frozen) and use it for your paintbrush. You can guess who invented blueberry art in our house…
What fun summer things have you been up to?

Hi there- as usual loved your latest blogs….
Would like to know when you are going to be at Eugene Sat. Market?or, are you going to be in Portland at any festivals.
I am starting to knit 2 fall/winter sweaters and must have your buttons to finish them off…
The colors are very forests/woodsy….the patterns are February Lady Sweater in a deep mossy green and Cosmina to be a strange brownish gold….your buttons will be perfect….
so, where and when? Want to catch u before the season is over.
Thank you…

Hello Toni, We don’t bring very many buttons to Saturday Market and sometimes we don’t bring them to market at all. The best time for you to shop for buttons (besides in our online shop) will be in September at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. It’s in Canby, Oregon right next to Portland. There we will have our largest selection of buttons to choose from. Your sweater projects sound fun!
