{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Planting native asters in the garden. I’ve been admiring those sweet little purple flowers with the bright yellow centers in nearby gardens and am glad to have them growing in our own garden this year.
.
…Remembering that I forgot the cell phone when we were close enough to the house to go back and get it without making us late. I do like it for car rides, knowing that it’s there if I need it.
.
…Driving on a road I’d never seen before. I love seeing new places.
.
…Plums in the freezer, and more zucchini grated and put in the freezer too. Bit by bit, filling it up for winter.
.
…Our printer working again. It was giving us so much trouble we thought we’d need to buy a new one and then Jeff simply unplugged it and then plugged it back in and it’s been working great. We’ll enjoy it as long as it lasts.
.
…Children running in the rain and giggling.
.
…Winning a photo contest and getting a gift certificate. I was so excited!
.
…Things crossed off the list. Orders mailed out, P.O. Box fee paid, booth payment sent in for a festival… all those little things that bring me a sigh of relief to complete.
.
…How much better I feel (and clearer and more focused in my goals) when I get our space tidied up.
.
…Tying buttons on cards while Bracken built a living room fort and drew pictures. We were both happily occupied with our tasks and it made for a peaceful afternoon.
.
…Bringing home lettuce starts from the farmer’s market yesterday so we can have another round of lettuce growing in the garden.
