{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…Coming across the pictures of the beautiful elderberries that Jeff harvested off the back hillside a few weeks ago, juiced, and then added to some homemade applesauce. Yum!
.
…Jeff getting a new heater in his workshop, that works so much better than his last one (which cost a lot more, go figure.) It has been making such a difference and came at just the right time, when his shop was getting cold to work in.
.
…Unexpected solutions. I love wondering how something is going to work out and fall into place and then having it do so in a way I hadn’t considered. Why didn’t I think of that?
.
…Simplifying our errands so we could get home sooner, when we had been running around so much and were very much ready to be back at home. It felt good to realize that I didn’t need to get everything on my list done that day.
.
…Knowing my limits and going to bed when I was much too tired to work. I was more productive in the morning after a good night of sleep!
.
…Having the most hilarious conversation with my sister, talking in silly voices for much of the time. She was making me laugh so hard, and then we stopped ourselves so our voices wouldn’t permanently stay that way. Ha! (Or so it didn’t become second nature and then pop out at an inopportune moment.)
.
…Frankincense essential oil. I love that smell.
.
…Picking my mom up at the airport and celebrating Bracken’s birthday with her. And how much cozier our home feels with her in it!
.
…Having electricity all day yesterday and the weather being much milder and less windy than we had expected, after looking at the stormy forecast.
.
…My mom’s homemade soup that she made for us yesterday. So nourishing, so delicious, and just what we all felt like eating on a rainy day.
