{ G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition.
A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The custom ornaments Jeff and I made (I did the handwriting, he did the woodworking) with a message that I think is so important for all of us to hear on a daily basis: You are loved, You are loved, You are loved.
.
…The kind lady at the store who went above and beyond helping me when I left my gift certificate at home, and then being able to use it after all (thank you e-mail.)
.
…Making it through the entire day with a white shirt and not spilling anything on it! I considered it a small victory that day.
.
…Getting to spend my sister’s birthday with her for the first time in so many years, that was such a treat.
.
…Bracken thanking me so sincerely for finding a way for us to go down to grandpa and grandma’s house. Absolutely, sweetheart. (And then cracking me up when he said that on the first day he wanted to “do the fun things and then the next day we could do the things the adults want to do.” Then he paused and said it was Aunt Sam’s birthday, so he thought she could choose what we do.
.
…Listening to stories. Bracken’s great-grandpa (my stepmom’s stepfather) entertained me with stories while we were visiting family last week and I learned so many things I never knew before and got to know him a little better.
.
…An easy dinner of guacamole when we had eaten a big (and late) lunch. Delicious and simple.
.
…Our electricity staying on all day when there were thunderstorms. I was glad because it was my one home day to get caught up on everything and I wanted the electricity to stay on!
.
…Turnips in soup. They’re so good, I got more because we all decided we need to add turnips to our soups more often.
.
…Having help and support, and learning to accept it more and more.

I am grateful this week to have had special time to spend with old friends, enjoy delicious food as well as amazing views, and explore a new place. Your story made me feel so grateful for the health of my loved ones as well! xoxo
I just want to tell you how I enjoy reading your Gratitude Sunday entries. I enjoy your other entries also! Last year I bought some buttons from you and I am finally going to sew them on a project.
