It’s been a little quiet in this space this week. (Not quiet in our home, though, I just turned on the Christmas music for the first time today and Bracken has been putting on performances of The Nutcracker in our living room.) Jeff and I have been busy filling orders for the business and doing our best to get them all mailed out in time for Christmas. All week long I’ve been busy with tape, scissors, and boxes. I realize I don’t have pictures of any of those things, just two random pictures of custom orders Jeff finished up. Last week it poured and I didn’t get a chance to take pictures for the shop. We had some clear skies over the weekend, but I was at the Holiday Market. Luckily, though, I got some clear skies on Monday and snapped a few pictures then. Trying to take pictures for the shop can be very entertaining around here during our rainy season. I leave a pile of things by the front door and run outside when the opportunity arises. With my rush, you’d think there was a rainbow with a pot of gold out there.
I have yet to mail out gifts for our family (I was hoping to get that done the beginning of the week), but I made some progress on that before dinner tonight. I know family will understand if anything arrives late, but my heart will rest easier when I know the gifts are on their way, especially for the children. Our printer was acting up for quite awhile and Jeff kept fixing it. We have labels to print for shipping orders and this is not the time of year for us to be without a printer, so we finally bought a new one. Jeff set it up tonight. There was a lot of excitement over the new printer, but I’m laughing because it doesn’t sound very exciting as I write this. Jeff and I have been exhausted, but we like working hard and being busy and mostly we are feeling very, very grateful for the orders rolling in, for the support of our family business. Thank you!
