We went to a beautiful environmental preserve in South Florida and walked the trail to the observation tower, with our crew of family members that are visiting this year from all over. (It’s great to have so many of us in one place!) The preserve is an area that filters and cleans the storm water runoff (rainwater) from town before it enters the Florida Everglades. We saw all kinds of birds, along with butterflies, dragonflies, and even a turtle. The most exciting sightings, however, were the alligators. (Not one, but two!) We saw one from up in the observation tower and then as we were walking back on the wooden bridge we saw a small baby alligator. Every time we’ve visited Florida Bracken has wanted to see an alligator, so he was pretty pleased that his wish came true at last! There’s hardly been a moment to visit this space with all that we’ve been up to during our trip, but I wanted to pop by to share about the alligators because there was quite a bit of excitement about that.
P.S. We’ll be traveling on Sunday, so I’m planning on being back in this space on Monday for Gratitude * Sunday. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

I wondered about the alligators, (if you encountered any) while you were down there. Thanks for sharing! ;o))
