{G r a t i t u d e * S u n d a y :: Sunday’s heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitude.}

Throughout the week I’ve felt grateful for:
…The beautiful succulents from a friend, that have been a joy to see on our front porch all winter long.
.
…A conversation that an elderly man struck up with me at the library, telling me about his love for waterfalls and his collection of waterfall pictures. He finished it with: “Oh, and I love trees too. If there weren’t any trees on the earth we wouldn’t be here either you know.”
.
…Jeff and Bracken planting seeds for this year’s garden, and then planting flowers in Bracken’s very own garden. He’s excited to have his own garden space again this year and already has big plans for it.
.
…People to tell embarrassing stories to, and laugh with.
.
…Jeff renewing his license at the DMV, getting the studded tires taken off our car before the end of the month, and crossing off some other to-do’s we’d been meaning to get to.
.
…Helping Bracken with a surprise gift for Jeff, an entire picture book he illustrated, by writing down what he wanted each page to say. He did his own writing on the front and when I saw ‘By Bracken’ it just made my heart swell. He never ceases to amaze us with his creativity.
.
…Bringing some work outside when the day was much too beautiful to be inside. We looked for any excuse to be out there as long as possible.
.
…Each and every thing that is so magical when you are a kid. (Like looking through your parents’ treasure boxes with all their special treasures.)
.
…Clearing my mind when I clear the clutter.
.
…Open windows, flowers in bloom, and the feeling of spring in the air!
